Yacht details Location: Caribbean Type: Sail Length: 50m Usage: Private Crew: 9 CREW VACANCY Job ID: 03601 50m SY Y4 Engineer (Rotation 10/10) Capt brief: We’re on the lookout for a new rotational engineer, one of ours has decided to move ashore and go cruising, which frankly I can’t fault the idea of. This is a private 50m Vitters/Hoek ketch launched 2020 and we have 8 crew plus a standalone/independent 60ft chase boat. We would like to start somebody in Antigua in late March, and the plan is to do the crossing with the other engineer, so there is a nice long handover which will finish in Palma. Ideally the person holds SV-EOOW or Y4, or higher, good longevity and proven miles (dock sitter) on a large SY with big hydraulic systems and a personality suitable for this size of boat – team player, easy going but high standards and can help with the team as needed. It would be good if they have a B1/B2, be up to date with their licenses and refreshers etc. The crew are lovely and like fitness and being active just like most people these days and there is a nice feeling onboard. Rotation is 10/10 and salary will be E8k plus flights, health and medical benefits and training budget. Shared cabin with the rotating Mates, so male is the target due to this. The other engineer is great, a lovely guy. Cruising plans for the next 12 months are Palma, Greece, Italy then on to Maine, Georgia, and finally to Caribbean.
