27m SY Mate/Junior Captain
Looking for someone with good previous experience on a similar sized vessel or maybe a little bigger. Need to have YM Offshore, Ocean would be preferred! Starting early to mid November. Yacht is going to be in Vilanova until April next year. Not a huge yard period but plenty of things to get done by crew and contractors. Looking for a mate who's ready to step up and take on more responsibilities, the capt is going to be away a lot over winter so the mate will be in charge of this winter period.
There's another larger yacht in build, so the captain will be away over the summer to keep an eye on that too - so the Mate will be stepping up to be Captain for deliveries and maintenance periods too, then stepping back into the Mate role when guests are on and the Captain returns. Captain is keen to give the responsibility of running the yacht to the Mate and just step in as needed with back up and support.
The candidate can be M or F, ideally they'll have some good engineering experience too, and any drive time experience is also a big plus. Salary is negotiable. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first drive. Ideally they'll be based in Europe/UK.
