The chef will have 1year+ yachting experience as well as this background ashore. The yacht charters so experience with a variety of dietary requirements is required. Start date is flexible but anytime from the end of Oct or Nov. Salary is €5500 plus FOUR months paid holiday (120 days). Max 8 guests, and 5 crew. 32m performance sailing yacht, charter 6-8 wks/year, owner use 8-10 weeks/year, this year they're heading for the Caribbean before returning to the med/UK. Giving a great charter experience is very central to what they do which is why this role is so important to them. They want a chef who loves Food and is excited about learning and growing. The ideal candidate would have a friendly outgoing manner, enjoy working at a brisk pace, likes cooking for people, is a helpful and engaging crew member and loves keeping active. No sailing experience is required but a history of sports and a willingness to learn how to sail is very desirable. Sailing the yacht isn't required but is encouraged, they like everyone to get involved. This role would suit someone who enjoys working alone at times and is a self starter. The ideal candidate would also be happy to help other crew members in their departments when required as they will help in the galley too. The crew on board are fit, active and enjoy climbing, swimming, cycling, crossfit, yoga etc and have been onboard between 1-5 years.
